Lucasfilm Publishing SDCC 2022 panel updates and highlights high republic phase 2 hyperspace stories tales from the rancor pit

The Hyperspace Stories series is an anthology, jumping from character to character, but with a subtle overarching story.

The High Republic Phase 2 Opening Crawl has debuted at SDCC 2022!

The High Republic Phase 2 Crawl reads:

“ Star Wars The High Republic Quest of the Jedi. It is a time of great exploration. In an effort to unite the galaxy, the Chancellors of the Republic, working alongside the courageous and wise Jedi Knights, have dispatched dozens of PATHFINDER TEAMS into the farthest reaches of the Outer Rim.

But it is also a time of great uncertainty. Communication is unreliable and tall tales of mysterious planets and monstrous creatures abound. Prospectors and pirates roam the frontier, and the worlds of Eiram and E’ronoh are locked in a FOREVER WAR.

And on the far-off planet of DALNA, a new threat to the galaxy is beginning to emerge….”

Looks like Sav Malagan will Return as a Padawan!

Seeing as High Republic Phase 2 is set 150 years before Phase 1. And seeing as Sav Malagan is already a couple hundred years old by the time of Phase 1, it makes sense she would be a Padawan at this time. Sav first appeared in High Republic Adventures #8 (2021)

A New Series “Nameless Terror” by George Mann was Announced!

Whether you consider High Republic Trail of Shadows 5, Eye of the Storm 2, High Republic 15 (2021) the first appearance of The Nameless (I’d say Trail of Shadows 5), I’d grab them while you can. Looks like we’re going to be seeing more of them!
