We found the footage via legiondelbordeexterior on Instagram:
Some friendly members of the community have pointed out that this footage was shown during the Mandalorian Panel at Celebration in May. This is the first I’m seeing of it, though.
Of course, being a teaser, we don’t get a ton of reveals here, but there are some fun tidbits to look at! Check out the screen captures below!
First of all, the Armorer presents a blue helmet.
Then proceeds to lay the smack down on this Aqualish gentleman:
Many more Mandalorians will be present in this season. Here are a handful jumping out of a dropship:
Babu Frik from Rise of Skywalker is back, with a whole gaggle of Friks:
Bo-Katan has some sort of parlay with Grogu, but we sort of knew this from the leaked Celebration footage:
A Star Destroyer under repairs in a dry dock. I don’t think this is Gideon’s light cruiser. Appears to be the wrong shape:
Many, Many more Mandalorians:
Grogu gets a new ride:
Grogu pilots while Mando snoozes (it appears):
Looks like Mando got an astromech. Poor choice, I heard those R5 units have bad motivators:
Bo-Katan piloting:
Some sort of space battle around an asteroid field. My theory is that this is the partially destroyed planet of Concord Dawn in the Mandalore sector. This would be where Darth Maul’s Shadow Collective holed up during the Clone Wars. Also where Death Watch were exiled to under the peaceful Mandalore government of the Clone War era. Might add additional weight to my theory that the Armorer is Rook Kast (Rook Kast first appeared in comics in Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir 1 and first appeared on the cover of the Wizard World variant to that same issue):
Finally, the ruined domed city of Mandalore, Sundari. We knew (or at least suspected) Mando was going back to atone for removing his helmet:
That’s about it! Thoughts? Theories!?
