New Star Wars Comics June 2022 July 2022

Hello hello! I’m here to get you all caught up on what Star Wars comics and books are on their way to the shelves. On June 22, 2022, we get the final issue of the Crimson Reign mini-series feature Qi’ra and Crimson Dawn. The official issue preview confirmed that we are getting the first appearance of a new character in Director Barsha.

You can see my full breakdown of who I think this is and why it could be important in my first appearance breakdown here. Regardless of who Director Barsha is, he’s clearly being hyped up as an important player moving forward in this story. For that reason, in terms of speculation, I am very high on the 1:50 variant for Crimson Reign #5.

With this issue of Crimson Reign we are officially through 2/3 of Charles Soule’s crossover series. Up next is a 5 part mini series called Hidden Empire. It’s slated to kick off sometime this year but other than that… we don’t know much about it.

You can check out the official descriptions and some preview images below.

Star Wars Comic And Book FOC Deadline June 20, 2022

For those who aren’t familiar, FOC, or Final Order Cut Off, is when publishers and distributors require retailers to get their orders in. Printers then print according to that number (sometimes with overages). So, if you want to absolutely guarantee you get a book, best bet is to order it before FOC. Final Order Cut Off is Monday 5/20/22 this week.

We have another BIG FOC deadline this week with some covers that I anticipate getting hot once they hit the shelves. First up we have Star Wars #25 by Charles Soule.

This is considered a milestone issue for 2 reasons. It’s Charles Soule’s 100th Star Wars comics that he’s written and it’s the 100th comic book in the main Star Wars line since Disney rebooted comics in 2015. It will be an anthology issue that will include stories from every era that Soule has written comics in. It also has my favorite 1:25 ratio cover I’ve seen in a long time.

Then we get Darth Vader 25. The notable cover here in my opinion is the Sprouse Choose Your Own Destiny Variant featuring Darth Krall. Darth Krall was first mentioned in a comic in The High Republic #7 by Cavan Scott. Most stores are sold out of High Republic #7 but you can still get decent deals on Ebay. So while this is not Krall’s first cover he is a new Sith and this cover will get bought up quick.

Check out the details below and get your pre-orders in before EOD on Monday to make sure you do not miss out.
