I originally thought this squad leader Shoretrooper was a rerun of the original Rogue One Shoretrooper from Hot Toys. That figure has since become a $700-800 figure on the aftermarket. It looks like this Squad Leader figure is actually subtly different, however. At the very least the armor is painted differently. Whereas the original had almost the entirety of its chest painted blue, this new release has a simple blue line along the top. Also, whereas the original had blue and yellow markings on its left forearm, it appears this new one does not.
At any rate, there is also a rank-and-file Shoretrooper that has been announced. Both of these figures are scheduled to release Quarter 1 to Quarter 2 2022. Keep your eyes peeled on Sideshow for the pre-order to go live! Check out the official product images and details below!

Today Hot Toys is excited to announce the 1/6th scale collectible figure of the Shoretrooper Squad Leader as one of the latest addition to the Star Wars collectibles line up.
The highly-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of the Shoretrooper Squad Leader in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, featuring highly detailed helmet and armor with weathering effect, meticulously tailored outfit, a blaster rifle, detailed utility belt with pouch and a display base.
