Mattel have opened up pre-orders for the next additions to their Amber Collection 6 inch Jurassic Park figure line: Dennis Nedry and Dilophosaurus! This is a perfect wave pairing because you can reenact Dennis’ fatefully acidic run-in with Dilo as he tried to escape the Park! The Amber Collection is in the same vein as the Marvel Legends and Black Series 1/12 scale figures of the world. These highly articulated figures come packed with accessories like the secret Barbasol DNA smuggling can, and the Exit Dock sign with spinning arrow! You gotta love that attention to detail!

After the dilophosaurus, I hope so that Mattel will also do in the AMBER COLLECTION collection: the Tyrannosaurus rex of Jurassic World, The Lost World and JP3 (even if they will be the same size as the Super Colossal Tyrannosaurus Rex) as long as the proportions will be well respected: especially the size of the feet and the head compared to the rest of the body; and the male velociraptor from Jurassic Park III based on the velociraptors from AMBER COLLECTION where you just have to change the colors, the head and add thorns or proto-feathers behind the head, and the feet are smaller and maybe a little longer jaws or a little bigger head.
Agreed. It will be interesting to see if they go any larger than Velociraptor, because so far that’s as big as they have capped out. It’s great that each wave is coming with a human and a matching Dino that sort of compliments according to the story. Alan Grant should come with a T-Rex in his wave and Ellie Sattler should come with a triceratops.
