Bandai Announce New Dragon Radar Proplica from Dragon Ball

by DrunkWooky

There have been many Dragon Radar toys and replicas in the past, each of varying degrees of quality and desirability. Bandai just announced a Dragon Radar entering the lineup of its Proplica brand of high end lifesize replica props. This Proplica Dragon Radar comes with a couple of display modes, sound effects, a sweet Capsule Corp display stand, and carrying strap.

Bandai’s official product info makes it appear that there are two display modes:

“Looks like that!” mode
By pushing the switch, scattered dragon balls gather.
When all are gathered, the line is activated with the summoning sound of Shinryu.

“Take it!” mode
When the moving dragon ball comes to the center, stop 7 times in a row with good timing!
The speed gets faster and faster.

This prop replica looks pretty cool, but there isn’t much indication from the solicitation images how the lighted display and sound effects would work in hand. I guess we’ll have to wait to see.

The Proplica Dragon Radar is available for pre-order at the following retailers and is scheduled for a February 2020 release:
