First of all, a new poster, complete with Palpatine ready to cackle, was debuted at D23 this weekend.
Second, a brand new Rise of Skywalker was also debuted at D23 over the weekend! Everybody and their mom is going to be posting this trailer, but as a massive Star Wars fan, I have no choice but to run with the herd. Spoilers below. Don’t proceed if you want to go in fresh!
We heard descriptions from D23 attendees over the weekend that there was a red-eyed Threepio, a sky full of Star Destroyers, and finally, double-switchblade-red-lightsaber-wielding Rey! Well, the day has come, the trailer is public and the awesomeness of all that was described coming out of D23 has been confirmed! Check out the new trailer below!

Of course, whether Rey ends up good or evil, Jedi or Sith is unconfirmed right now. And who would want it any other way? I’m along for the ride and just hope J.J. brings this trilogy in for a landing.
